Agricultural Programs Coordinator

The Georgia Agricultural Exposition Authority, the governing board for the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry, Georgia, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Agricultural Programs Coordinator.

The Agricultural Programs Coordinator is responsible for performing day-to-day duties and office functions of the livestock, agricultural, youth, and related activities and educational programs at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter, to include but not limited to the following areas:

• Planning and conducting all livestock and agricultural programs

• Development and execution of financial contracts associated with livestock and agricultural events

• Coordination with other departments and personnel to ensure success of all events

• other functions and duties as required by the Agricultural/Youth director

Candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidate should demonstrate a thorough knowledge of livestock and agricultural planning and competition.  Candidate shall demonstrate proficiency with computers and common software applications High school Diploma or equivalent and 4 years’ experience in administrative environment or a college degree in Agriculture or related field is required.  A combination of education and experience may be used to meet minimum requirements.

This position may require a minimal amount of travel.  Further, the position may require an irregular work schedule to accommodate the needs of particular shows and events.

Part-Time Seasonal Fair Opportunities

The Georgia National Fairgrounds is now taking applications for part-time employment for our 2017 Georgia National Fair.  This employment, depending on the position, will be from September through the close of our Fair October 15, 2017.

The following positions are available:

  • Data Entry, Ticket Sellers and Takers, Building Workers, Security, Ushers and Door Guards, Telephone Operators and Tram Drivers.
