Electrician II - Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter

The Georgia Agricultural Exposition Authority, the governing board for the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry, Georgia, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Electrician II.

The Electrician II is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the electrical services as prescribed and shall perform within the electrical department guidelines, to include but not limited to: implementing preventive maintenance of electrical installations in all exhibit halls, barns, arenas, maintenance buildings and all other electrical distribution equipment on or belonging to the Georgia National Fairgrounds, monitoring operation techniques as to safety procedures, complying with equipment distribution requests, review required operation techniques, complete daily routine and/or event assignments as required and such other functions and duties as required. Position reports to the Electrical Superintendent.
Candidate should demonstrate technical expertise in the field of applied electrical service and have knowledge of all safety and electrical codes. The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training will receive preference. Three (3) years of electrical experience working as an electrician for an electrical contractor/company with exposure to 277/480 volt and 120/208 volt systems. The candidate should exhibit to perform with minimal supervision.
This position should require no travel. Further, the position will require an irregular work schedule to accommodate the needs of particular shows and events.

Operations Technician/Welder- Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter

The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry, Georgia, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Operations Technician/Welder.

The Operations Technician/Welder shall carry out duties assigned by the Operations Director related to cleaning and maintaining commercial buildings and GNFA grounds; event setup and break-downs involving tables, chairs, and other equipment; maintain livestock and horse facilities; work on repair/construction projects; and other duties as directed by the Operations Director. Welding training and experience is required. In addition, the qualified candidate will be able to perform assigned duties with minimal instruction and supervision.

The pay rate for this position will vary based on experience and includes a benefits plan and retirement. GNFA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
